- A victim who was injured during a crime
- Someone who witnessed a violent crime
- Someone who suffered serious mental or emotional trauma during a violent crime
- Someone who was hurt trying to help a victim
- A parent or guardian of someone who was killed or injured as a result of a violent crime
- Someone who depended on the victim for financial support who was killed as a result of a violent crime
- Someone who has incurred bills related to the crime
